Key Responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), your role will include:
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
- Providing personalised one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Helping to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities.
- Supporting students with personal care needs, where required.
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress to teachers and parents.
- Preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
- Participating in school events and activities to foster a vibrant school community.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience as a 1:1/SEN Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience in supporting children with special educational needs.
- A genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- A proactive approach to learning and a strong desire to progress in education.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education (a plus).
- Availability for full-time, long-term commitment.
